4. Persian Gulf petroleum imports (net) in September 2014 as a percentage of total imports: 32.0 percent (September 2013: 36.9 percent). [DOE]

Beh! Che dire se non puntualizzare quanto sia incontrovertibile il fatto che gli USA sono lontanissimi dall'autosufficienza produttiva nazionale e che sono sempre legati saldamente alla necessità di importare petrolio dall'estero come vediamo dai tips in particolare il n. 3, ben il 44,8% (quarantaquattro virgola otto percento). Amen.
Sempre facendo fede ai dati secondo l'API (American Petroleum Institute) vediamo, di quel 44,8% di petrolio importato, le varie fonti di approvvigionamento estero.
Ultimo dato. L'andamento del prezzo della benzina alla pompa negli USA (media tra tutti gli Stati) estratto dal sito web ufficiale EIA, da gennaio 2014 al 22 Dicembre scorso quando era 2,403 dollari al gallone ovvero 0,521 Euro al litro.
